In the early morning, we embark on a scenic overland drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, covering approximately 200 km in 7–8 hours, depending on traffic, aboard a comfortable luxury tourist bus. Pokhara, Nepal’s tourism capital, serves as the gateway to the Annapurna region. The journey follows the picturesque riverbeds of the Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers, passing through lush landscapes, terraced fields, and authentic rural villages, offering travelers a genuine glimpse of Nepali life. Our first stop is Birethanti, the official checkpoint of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, where our guide will assist with permit checks before we continue.The trail passes through charming villages like Hile and Tikhedunga, offering authentic glimpses of rural Nepali life. Along the way, we cross small suspension bridges and follow picturesque paths leading to Ulleri (1,960m). The final stretch features a challenging steep ascent of approximately 3,200 stone steps, rewarding trekkers with panoramic Himalayan views. Upon arrival, we settle into the teahouse and soak in the serene mountain atmosphere.

We wake up before dawn for an early morning hike of approximately 1 hour to Poon Hill, one of Nepal’s most iconic viewpoints. After soaking in these breathtaking moments, we return to Ghorepani for a hearty breakfast.Post breakfast, we begin a descending trek toward the village of Tadapani (2,630m). Trek to Chhomrong (2,170m) – 5–6 hrs trek

The trek will descend once more through vibrant oak and rhododendron forests. The valleys will be seen opening with the small settlements. While we cross the Kimrong Khola, we enter the Annapurna Sanctuary. We will be climbing gently towards the village of Chhomrong. Chhomrong is one of the largest villages in this region. We will be rewarded with the most enchanting views of the Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre from Chhomrong. This is one of the most significant stops of our journey. Today’s trek begins with a descent toward Chhomrong Khola and continues through Lower Sinuwa before ascending to Upper Sinuwa. We reach Bamboo, a peaceful spot ideal for a short rest or lunch, before continuing the trek to Dovan, taking about an hour. The day’s journey is moderately challenging yet rewarding, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant Himalayan vegetation. Overnight stay in Dovan (2,600m).

Trek to Deurali (3,200 m) – 5–6 hrs trek

After breakfast, we begin our gradual ascent toward Deurali, following the scenic trail alongside the Modi Khola. The trail winds through peaceful clearings and small meadow-like sections before entering a wide glacial valley. The final stretch to Deurali involves a steady climb through an open area marked by rock faces and waterfalls, offering impressive views of the surrounding Himalayan terrain. Upon arrival in Deurali, we settle into a comfortable teahouse and rest, preparing for the next stage of our journey toward Annapurna Base Camp.

Today is the highlight of the trek as we journey into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary. After breakfast, we begin a steady ascent toward Machapuchare Base Camp, surrounded by dramatic alpine scenery and towering snow-clad peaks. The landscape becomes more barren and glacial as we move higher into this natural amphitheater of mountains. From Machapuchare Base Camp, the trail continues with a gentle uphill walk toward Annapurna Base Camp. Upon arrival, we are rewarded with a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of Himalayan giants, including Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, and Machapuchare. We retrace our steps through Machapuchare Base Camp, Deurali, and the Himalaya area, moving from stark alpine terrain back into lush forests of bamboo and rhododendron. The changing scenery highlights the remarkable diversity of the Annapurna Sanctuary—from glacial valleys to dense woodland in a single day. By late afternoon, we arrive at Bamboo, where we settle into a teahouse for a well-earned rest and overnight stay.

Trek to Jhinu Danda (2,170m) – 5–6 hrs trek, Drive to Pokhara 2–3 hrs Drive

After breakfast at Bamboo, we follow the descending trail through forested paths toward Chhomrong and continue down to Jhinu Danda. The route includes stone steps and scenic sections along the river valley, with pleasant views and changing vegetation as we lose elevation. At Jhinu Danda, there is an opportunity to visit the nearby natural hot springs by the river for a relaxing break before concluding the trek. Later, we meet our vehicle and drive to Pokhara, a comfortable 2–3 hour journey, where the trek officially ends and you can enjoy the lakeside atmosphere.
