Gatlang Village is a large, authentic Tamang Village that offers the first deep cultural immersion on our Tamang Heritage Trek. The village is built in a traditional clustered style on a hillside. We will get to see the unique stone houses and carved wooden windows in all the houses. Visitors can interact with locals, explore monasteries, and watch locals in traditional dress. Gatlang is also near Parbati Kunda, which is a revered lake and a significant site.
Tatopani means “hot water” in Nepali. The Tatopani hot water springs are one of the great highlights of our Tamang Heritage Trek. The springs are known as a perfect therapeutic stop. After a few days of challenging trekking, the trekkers can soothe their muscles. The water is believed to have healing properties. These natural pools serve as a wonderful social and tourist hub along the Langtang Trekking region in a relaxed and refreshing setting of the Himalayas.
Nagthali Danda is the highest point we will cover in the trek. Standing at 3165m, this open and grassy ridge is a rewarding achievement. The viewpoint will offer one of the most spectacular Himalayan shapes. We will get the 360-degree views of the peaks like Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma, and Ganesh Himal. On clear days, the views of some Tibetan peaks can also be seen from this viewpoint. Nagthali was once a meditation center for the monks now serves as a pristine viewpoint for the trekkers.
